Change of scene for me with a trip to Minster to make the best of the NW wind direction, a direction that suits few spots in my immediate area.
Arrived to see a few already on the water (Geriatric Looper, Grawp, SteveE, Justin, Bryn, Shawndawavehead, and plenty more - approx 20 i reckon, tho didn't count them). Even took couple minutes to chat with Super Sup Jase

Anyway, much surprise having expected a mellow 5.9 or 6.3m session to be greeted with 4.7m full power and Newave Twin 84 conditions !
Prompt rig, suited up, brief chat with geriatric one and Justin before heading out.
Sweet, nicely powered up, and a few moving lumps to play with (sort of). Couple quick runs and then in with cold hands! Sent Justin out on my kit for a quick go while went through the burns before I could go back out. Last day of winter time, and it felt proper wintery. Roll on tomorrow and some SUMMER TIME !!!
Had a decent hour or two bumping and jumping back and forth, before it dropped a touch. Swapped board for the Allwave 92 but never really had enough sail to make best of it once the tide turned to run with the wind. Shame really as I was enjoying myself, but too cold to go for complete re-rig with bigger sail & board. Looked like it settled a bit just as I was driving off, but hey ho .... had some fun of my own, and happy enough to leave others to enjoy what was left.
Good time to call it a day and head back for family duties.
Just want some of those classic Camber SW'lys in the sunshine ..... be nice to sail barefoot again sometime soon. Much as the Atan's are excellent boots, I'm really looking forward to being in proper contact with my boards and feeling the sand between my toes ;-)
